Apoorva Gururaj, lead singer

I am a 13 year old eighth grader currently living in Cupertino, California. Right from my childhood I have been interested in music and dancing - both classical and non-classical formats. My first public performance was when I was just 8 years old. My interest in music is exponentially growing and right now I am getting trained and tuned by one of Bay Area’s well-known vocalists Mrs. Padmaja Kishore. I have played in school bands for past 4 years and played a leadership role in Girl Scouts for 2 years. I am involved in many multi curriculum activities and I am an active youth committee member of Kannada Koota of Northern California (KKNC). I have great passion towards art and music and love Kannada. My ambition is to become a great singer with an ability to sing songs in multilingual settings and entertain everyone especially KANNADIGAS to their heart content. I love being part of SWARJAMMERZ and am eagerly looking forward to our next show.
